Getting Engaged at a Disney Park

January 15, 2020

Disney parks represent times of love and happiness, making them a perfect place to get engaged. Whether you choose a park in Disney World or Disneyland, it is easy to make it the most magical moment of your life.

Disney World

Disney World engagement

Among the four theme parks and two water parks that make up Disney World, there is always a great place to get engaged. You have a few options at your disposal, including a moonlit cruise, private tour, fireworks show (at Seven Seas Lagoon or the Polynesian Resort,) and a ride in a horse-drawn carriage. You can combine the cruise and fireworks, giving you the opportunity to propose on the water with lit fireworks overhead.

If you want to execute a classic Disney proposal, in front of Cinderella’s Castle is a popular choice. Some of the most popular Disney World restaurants to get engaged at are Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest.

There is a spot in each of the four parks that makes up Disney World, where couples are known to get engaged. Magic Kingdom is dominated by Cinderella’s Castle, but the other parks are just as good to propose in. At the Animal Kingdom, the engagement hot spot is Tree of Life. At Hollywood Studios, couples love to get engaged at an exact replica of Grauman’s Chinese Theater. At Epcot, the hot spot is Spaceship Earth, though you have so many more options there as well.

If you want to propose in a foreign country but don’t have the means to make it happen, Epcot’s World Showcase is all you need. The preferred engagement spots among Disney guests are France and Italy.

Disney goes all out for engagements, providing extras to enhance your experience. This can be something as simple as a flower arrangement or as elaborate as a private celebration in your hotel room.

Disneyland

Disneyland engagement

Disneyland boasts many more places to get engaged other than the Sleeping Beauty Castle. One of them is The Rivers of America. A similar option is the Mark Twain Riverboat

Couples also typically get engaged on Main Street. The other popular spot in the main parks is The Blue Bayou, which you will find inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The staff will even slip the engagement ring into your table side service.

At Disneyland you aren’t limited to the park grounds alone. Engagements often take place at The Esplande, which is the name of the area that lies between Disneyland’s main park and its California Adventure Park. This is among the spacious areas in Disneyland conducive to a marriage proposal.

When you propose at the California Adventure Park you will have an excellent view of a beautiful lake and the Pixar Pal-A-Round in the distance. It also makes it easy to celebrate your brand-new engagement on the park’s Ferris wheel.

At Disneyland many couples can’t resist getting engaged at the wishing well. The tranquil setting is the perfect place for a quiet proposal. No matter where in the park an engagement takes place, if you inform a park photographer in advance, they will snap a photo of your big moment.

If getting down on one and knee and following the typical proposal formula doesn’t appeal to you, head to one of the many sketch artists. Like the photographer, this needs to be scheduled in advance. The sketch artist will capture the moment of your engagement on paper.

For help organizing the entire day surrounding the proposal, you can contact a Disney Engagement Planner. They will work with you to coordinate the proposal as well as the places and activities you are interested in both for and after the proposal. You can even take it a step further and speak to a VIP Tour Guide. All you need do is give them a list of the sites around the park you are interested in and they will organize the day for you and make sure you can access all those sites.

Whether you are for Disney World or Disneyland, It is safe to say no matter where you get engaged, it will be a truly memorable experience.
